Burning River Roller Derby, Cleveland’s women’s flat track roller derby league, is excited to announce the conclusion to their 2023 season with their annual Black and Blue bout. This intra-league game will raise money for the Ohio Women’s Alliance and will include Burning River’s infamous halftime show: two rounds of full-contact musical chairs played on quad skates! The Blue team will be led by captains Peach Hobble Her and Gal Fawkes, and the Black team will be captained by Starr Struck and Golden Malicious. The bout will take place at Cleveland Heights Community Center in Cleveland Heights on November 18th. Doors open at 3:00 PM and the first whistle kicks off the night at 4:00 PM. For every Black and Blue bout, Burning River picks a charity to donate a portion of the proceeds to. This year, that charity is the Ohio Women’s Alliance. The Ohio Women’s Alliance works totransform Ohio into a state where all people can truly thrive through access to safe communities, equitable education, holistic health care and wellness, inclusive and representative democracy, and economic prosperity.
